Grand Forks, N.D. – Augustana University defeated Minnesota Crookston in women's tennis action on Sunday morning at the Choice Health and Fitness in Grand Forks.
The Golden Eagles fall to 7-6 on the season.
The Golden Eagles would lose all three double matches to the Vikings.
Blaike Zander (So., Bismarck, N.D.) and
Kavya Singh (So., Agra, India) would win two sets, but ultimately fall 6-2.
Madeleine Schneider (Jr., Gartringen, Germany) and
Sarah Velasquez (Sr., Chino, Calif.) would fall 6-1 in doubles, as would
Tasha Achermann (Sr., Motley, Minn.) and
Michelle Swyter (Sr., Perham, Minn.).
In singles play, Schneider would lose just her second single match of the season, falling 6-4 and 6-2. Swyter and Velasquez would each win a set, falling 6-1 and 6-0, respectively.

Minnesota Crookston will look to get back on the winning track next weekend as they host MSU Moorhead on Saturday at noon and the University of Mary on Sunday morning at 9:30 A.M., both matches being in Grand Forks.
