Minnesota Crookston Women's Basketball Falls in Exhibition to St. Thomas Despite Miller Double-Double

ST. PAUL, Minn. - The University of Minnesota Crookston women's basketball team lost an exhibition game Sunday, October 29 to Division I foe University of St. Thomas 95-50 at Schoenecker Arena in St. Paul, Minn. 

The Golden Eagles were guided by reigning NSIC Freshman of the Year Emma Miller (So., G, Albertville, Minn.), with a double-double of 12 points and 10 rebounds. Olivia Walsh (Fr., F, Austin, Minn.) had 10 points and four boards. Taryn Frazer (So., G, Cass Lake, Minn.) and Natalie Mikrot (So., G, Willow River, Minn.) each notched eight points. Rayna Klejeski (Fr., F, Barnum, Minn.) came off the bench for five rebounds.

Minnesota Crookston shot 28.8 percent from the field. Their best quarter was the third where they shot 62.5 percent.

St. Thomas was led by 17 points from Phoebe Frentzel. Emma Miner had 15 points. Amber Scalia notched 12 points, while Angelina Hammond had 10. The Tommies shot 51.4 percent from the field Sunday.

Minnesota Crookston opens regular-season play Friday, November 10 against the University of Nebraska-Kearney on a neutral court in Marshall, Minn.
