Minnesota Crookston Soccer Falls 2-0 to UMary

BISMARCK, N.D. - The University of Minnesota Crookston soccer team played one of their best defensive games, but fell 2-0 to the University of Mary Sunday, October 15 in Bismarck, N.D. The Golden Eagles have had four games where they have given up two goals this season.

Minnesota Crookston dropped to 0-13 (0-9 NSIC) with Sunday's loss. UMary improved to 4-6-3 (3-4-2 NSIC) with the win.

UMary had 29 shots, with eight shots on goal. The Golden Eagles did not attempt a shot in the game.

The Marauders got on the scoreboard in the 12th minute with an Olivia Gardner goal, off a Mo Malone assist. UMary capped off the win with a 63rd minute goal from MaLiah Burke, off a Rio Spruenken assist.

Abby Olsen (Sr., GK, Chisago City, Minn.) started in goal. She is third in NCAA Division II for saves per game. Olsen made six saves. For UMary, Molly Fischer put up the clean sheet, with no saves.

Minnesota Crookston returns home for Homecoming week to face Wayne State College Friday, October 20 at 3 p.m.
