CROOKSTON, Minn. - The University of Minnesota Crookston women's basketball will head down to Moorhead, Minn., and Aberdeen, S.D. for games against Minnesota State University Moorhead and Northern State University. The Golden Eagles play the Dragons Friday, February 11 at 5:30 p.m., and Northern State Saturday, February 12 at 4 p.m.
Minnesota Crookston looks to build on the positive momentum of last Saturday's victory over Minot State University. The Golden Eagles come into the weekend with a 2-17 (1-12 NSIC) mark. MSU Moorhead is 6-12 (5-9 NSIC), while Northern State enters the weekend with a 10-12 (7-10 NSIC) record.
MSU MOORHEAD SERIES
Minnesota State University Moorhead has won the last eight games in the series. Minnesota Crookston's last win in the series came December 8, 2017 with a 69-65 win over the Dragons in Moorhead, Minn.
NORTHERN STATE SERIES
Northern State captured the last game in the series with a 64-47 win over the Golden Eagles December 10, 2021 in Crookston. Minnesota Crookston had won the previous two match-ups against the Wolves. This weekend's game will be the first in Aberdeen, S.D., since December 7, 2019.
BURKE FOR THREE

Mary Burke set the school record for single-game three-pointers last Saturday as she went 8-of-14 from beyond the arc en route to a career-high 30 points in a huge victory over Minot State. Burke beat the previous record of seven set by three individuals, most recently by Paige Weakley with seven against Winona State January 18, 2019, and Caitlin Michaelis with seven versus Minot State February 15, 2019.
GOLDEN EAGLES FOR THREE
• In addition to Burke's individual record, the Golden Eagles set the single-game mark for team three-pointers with 19 in Saturday's 91-65 victory over Minot State. The Golden Eagles went 19-of-35 for 54.3 percent in the victory. The previous record of 15 was set December 30, 2017 at Winona State University.
POST PLAY

Kylie Post is coming off a great game against Minot State as she reached a double-double with 11 rebounds and 10 assists in the 91-65 win. Post currently leads the team with 10.9 points per game. In her career, Post has 757 career points, 321 rebounds, and 175 assists. Post needs 21 assists to break into the Top 10 for career assists. She has just four games left in her career and will look to end on a strong note.
LEACH CATCHING FIRE

Abigail Leach had her breakout game Saturday against Minot State. The junior college transfer had a career-high 20 points, including shooting 6-of-8 from beyond the arc. Her two best games have come in the last three outings. She had 14 points on 5-of-10 from the field at Sioux Falls January 22.
BOXED OUT BY FOX

Bren Fox currently leads the team with 5.8 rebounds per game to go with her 8.1 points per game. Fox recently broke into the Top 10 for career rebounds. She has 480 career boards, to go with 565 career points. Fox had 14 points and 10 rebounds in last week's tough overtime loss to UMary.
GETTING THE DUB
• Minnesota Crookston broke into the win column with a dominant 91-65 victory over Minot State last Saturday. The win marked the first NSIC tally for the Golden Eagles this season and their second win. Minnesota Crookston is looking to build on the positive momentum going into the final four games of the season, starting this weekend at MSU Moorhead and Northern State.

LOSING STREAK
• The Dragons come into Friday's game with a four-game losing streak, though they have played four tough opponents in Minnesota State, Concordia-St. Paul, Minnesota Duluth, and St. Cloud State. The last victory for the Dragons came against Upper Iowa with a 56-45 win January 22.
HERE COMES THE BOOM
• Peyton Boom has been dominant inside for the Dragons. The Barnesville, Minn., native comes in averaging 14.8 points and 6.6 rebounds per game. Her production has been down slightly in recent games, averaging 10.5 points and 6.5 rebounds in the last four tilts. Boom will be crucial to stop, or at least slow down, this Friday for the Golden Eagles.
MCKEEVER MINUTES
• Mariah McKeever is another local recruit who has made an impact for the Dragons. She comes into Friday notching 8.6 points and 3.5 rebounds per game. McKeever will look to help MSU Moorhead Friday versus the Golden Eagles.

LOOKING FOR THE W
• Northern State has dropped their last five games dating back to a 71-62 victory over Upper Iowa Janaury 21. The Wolves had won four-straight games going into their loss to Winona State.
OLIVERSON IN THE POST
• Kailee Oliverson has been big this season for the Wolves. She enters the weekend notching 14.7 points and 6.9 rebounds per game. Oliverson had 23 points in the win over the Golden Eagles earlier this season. She had a season-high 29 points in a loss to Concordia-St. Paul January 28.
FILLIPI FOR THREE
• Rianna Fillipi has been the biggest three-point threat for Northern State this season. She comes in shooting 35.6 percent from beyond the arc this season. Fillipi is averaging 12.4 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 4.4 assists per game.
