CROOKSTON, Minn. - The University of Minnesota Crookston women's basketball team will host the University of Mary and Minot State University Friday, February 4 and Saturday, February 5 at 5:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. at Gary Senske Court at Lysaker Gymnasium.
The Golden Eagles enter the weekend with a 1-16 (0-11 NSIC) record. UMary comes into the weekend with an 11-13 (5-10 NSIC) record, while Minot State is 8-12 (6-7 NSIC).
UMARY SERIES
The Golden Eagles trail the series 9-12 since 2011. UMary has won six of the last seven match-ups between the two schools. Minnesota Crookston's last win in the series came January 30, 2021 with a 73-65 victory in Crookston.
MINOT STATE SERIES
Minnesota Crookston is 8-9 since 2012 against Minot State. The Golden Eagles have lost the last four games in the series against the Beavers. Minnesota Crookston's last win came January 25, 2020 with a 78-76 win over Minot State in Crookston.
FRESHMAN STAND-OUT

Abi Fraaza has jumped right on to the scene for the Golden Eagles. Fraaza, a native of Birnamwood, Wis. Fraaza leads the team averaging 10.6 points and 5.6 rebounds per game. Fraaza averaged 14 points and 7.5 rebounds last weekend for the Golden Eagles. She is shooting 47.4 percent from the field this season.
COMING CLOSE
• Minnesota Crookston played a pair of tight games their last time out against Southwest Minnesota State and Sioux Falls. The Golden Eagles pulled within six points in the final minutes against Southwest Minnesota State, and trailed by just two to Sioux Falls in the final 3:58 Saturday. However, the Cougars closed the game on a 10-2 run.
Minnesota Crookston will look to get in the win column this weekend against UMary and Minot State.

Kylie Post is second on the team, averaging 10.3 points and 4.3 rebounds per game. Post has had a strong career, scoring 728 career points, grabbing 302 rebounds, and dishing out 164 assists. Post is looking to end her career on a great note.

Emma Carpenter has put out great effort for the Golden Eagles this season. She currently leads the team with 43 assists for 2.5 assists per game. In addition, Carpenter is averaging 6.0 points per game for the Golden Eagles and is shooting 35.4 percent from beyond the arc.

Abi Fraaza with the team lead this season with 5.6 rebounds per game. In addition, Fox comes in averaging 7.7 points per game. In her career, Fox has scored 543 points in her career and she has 484 rebounds for the Golden Eagles. She will look to make a major impact this weekend against UMary and Minot State.

• Lexie Schneider comes in leading the Marauders with 12.4 points and 7.9 rebounds per game. Schneider is shooting 51.6 percent from the field this season. Schneider's best scoring output came with 21 points against Minnesota Crookston earlier this season, and 21 points versus Minnesota Duluth and Southwest Minnesota State.

• Megan Zander has been crucial from beyond the arc this season for the Marauders. She comes into the weekend averaging 11.3 points per game and shooting 45.0 percent from beyond the arc on 60 attempts this season. Zander's best performance this season came with 19 points against Northeastern State University.

• Macy Williams has been a staple at the point guard spot for UMary for five seasons. She comes into the weekend with 3.3 assists per game and a total of 79 assists. In addition, Williams is tallying 9.3 points per game. She is shooting 41.9 percent from the field, and 35.6 percent from beyond the arc.
MINOT STATE
STEVAHN INSIDE
• Amber Stevahn leads the way for Minot State this season. She comes into the weekend averaging 17.7 points and 5.8 rebounds per game. Stevahn is shooting 52.1 percent from the field this season for the Beavers. She scored a season-high 30 points earlier this season against Minnesota State. Stevahn will be a major factor this weekend for the Beavers.
WHERE IT COUNTS
• Anna Counts has had a strong season in 2021-22 for Minot State. She enters the weekend averaging 11.1 points and 3.0 rebounds per game. Counts is shooting 46.7 percent from the field this season.
HEAD OF THE CLASS
• Kate Head comes into the weekend notching 11.1 points per game. She has been crucial with getting the offense going as she leads the way for Minot State with 108 assists for an average of 5.4 assists per game.
