CROOKSTON, Minn. – The University of Minnesota Crookston baseball team will return to action February 25-27 with a four-game series against Missouri University of Science and Technology (Missouri S&T) at the Ballpark at S&T in Rolla, Mo.
The Golden Eagles come into the weekend with a 3-6 mark. They last competed in a six-game series at the University of Hawai'i at Hilo February 10-13. Missouri S&T is opening their 2022 season against the Golden Eagles.

Missouri S&T will open the 2022 season Friday against the Golden Eagles. The Miners are coming off a 21-21 season in 2021. Head Coach Todd DeGraffenreid is in his 18
th season leading the ship for Missouri S&T.
The Miners return a lot of talent at the plate, as they have seven starters back in the fold for the 2022 season. Missouri S&T looks to be led by Will Hayes, who led the team hitting .393 in 2021, with 44 runs scored, 11 doubles, two triples, one home run, and 27 RBIs. Andrew Branson also returns after hitting .339 last season. He had 25 runs scored, 10 doubles, two home runs, and 23 RBIs. Dakota Sill is back after batting .333 with 28 runs scored, four doubles, two triples, and 18 RBIs. Doug Wood returns for the Miners after hitting .320 in 2021 with 32 RBIs. Brady Voss is back after batting .304. Tate Morrell returns for the Miners after hitting .289. Also back is Garrett Weiner, who hit .307 with three home runs and a team-high 38 RBIs.
On the bump, the Miners posted an 8.38 ERA last season. They do return several arms from last season's squad. Cade Meier started 10 games in 2021, and was 5-3 with a 6.05 ERA, with 46 strikeouts, and 23 walks. Dylan Dunbar started six games last season, with an 11.74 ERA, while Nate Wodka started seven games, and posted a 12.60 ERA. David Kephart led the Miners out of the bullpen last season. He had three saves, and was 2-1 with a 4.45 ERA in 16 appearances. Dylan Mollett worked both out of the pen and as a starter in 2021. He was 4-0 with a 6.26 ERA.
