Burnsville, Minn. – After her record-setting 37 points in Saturday afternoon's victory over Bemidji State,
Emma Miller (Fr., G, Albertville, Minn.) was named the NSIC North Player of the Week for the first time in her career on Tuesday afternoon.
Miller is the first Golden Eagle to win the weekly award since Isieoma Odor, who won it four times in 2018-19.
In just one game this past weekend, Miller scored a program record 37 points on 13-20 shooting from the field. The 13 makes from the field were a career-high for the freshman. Miller also was 5-10 shooting from behind the arc, tying a career-high in 3-point makes. Miller also finished with four rebounds, three steals and two assists.
Miller has had an unbelievable stretch. The Albertville, Minn., native has scored 92 points in three games, helping the Golden Eagles to a 2-1 record during that stretch. Miller also has 33 makes from the field in those three games.
Lauren Zacharias from Wayne State College was awarded the NSIC South Player of the Week after averaging 25.0 points per game in two wins for the Wildcats.
Miller is currently top-15 in the nation in field goal makes and field goal attempts and is third in the NSIC in scoring at 17.3 points per game.
Miller and the Golden Eagles are off until next weekend when they host Minot State and the University of Mary. Tip-off on Friday against Minot State is set for 3 P.M., from Lysaker Gymnasium.
