Box Score Duluth, Minn. – Minnesota Duluth used a big second half to pull away from the Golden Eagles in men's basketball action for a 89-61 victory on Thursday night.

UMD would score the first three points, but Minnesota Crookston would answer with an 8-0 run, capped off by a
Marcus Thompson (R-Sr., F, Brooklyn, Minn.) layup.
Blaize Sagna (So., G, London, England) would bury a three and
Pedro Rossi (So., C, Bahia Blanca, Argentina) would finish a layup for a 17-12 lead midway through the first half.
Minnesota Crookston would lead 25-24, but go on a 7-0 run to take an eight point lead.
Ron Kirk, Jr., (So., G, Milwaukee, Wis.) would score three the old-fashioned way and
Chandler Meeks (Fr., G, Omaha, Neb.) would bury a left wing three.
UMD would end the half strong, as Drew Blair would splash home a deep three-pointer to head into the locker room up by eight, 43-35.
In the second half, another Meeks three would cut the Bulldogs lead to 51-42.
The Bulldogs would extend their lead to 60-43, but the Golden Eagles would answer, making it just a 12 point game with eight minutes remaining.
The Bulldogs would eventually stretch their lead out to 29 late in the game, for the 89-61 victory.
Sagna led the way with 17 points and six rebounds, while Meeks added 10 points and six boards. Thompson added eight points.
Tyrese Shines (Jr., G, La Grange, Ill.) scored a season-high five points in the game.
The Golden Eagles shot 45 percent from the field and were 7-14 from deep in the game.
