Joplin, Mo. – The University of Minnesota Crookston women's cross country team will make the long trek to Joplin, Mo., to compete this weekend at the Regional Championships, hosted by Missouri Southern State University.

The Golden Eagles are coming off of a 16
th place finish at the NSIC Women's Cross Country Championships in Wayne, Neb. Minnesota Crookston had an average finish time of 27:34.68.
At the NSIC Championships,
Madison Hilliard (Fr., Jacksonville, N.C.) paced the Golden Eagles with a finish time of 25:44.72, while
Anna Grabowski (So., Waterdown, Ontario) posted a time just four seconds behind her teammate, at 25:48.88.
Madison Elijah (So., Hebron, Ind.),
Brooke Benson (Sr., Monroe, Wash.), Alex Christian (R-So., Sauk Centre, Minn.) and
Alyssa Stillman (Sr., Hortonville, Wis.) each finished with times within the 30 minute mark. Benson posted her personal record of 28:33.46.
The Golden Eagles will run their 6,000 meter race starting at 11:15 tomorrow morning.
