MINOT, N.D. – The University of Minnesota Crookston women's soccer team fell 5-0 to Minot State University Friday, October 21 at Herb Parker Stadium in Minot, N.D. The game was the final road tilt of the 2022 season for UMN Crookston.
The Golden Eagles fell to 2-13-1 (1-11-1 NSIC) with Friday's loss to Minot State. The Beavers improve to 8-2-6 (8-1-3 NSIC).
Minnesota Crookston finished with four shots, while Minot State notched 36, with 20 on frame. The Golden Eagles were guided by two shots from
Lanie Padelford (So., D/MF, Mahtomedi, Minn.).
Emma Stempien (So., GK, Plymouth, Mich.) started in goal. She had 15 saves, with five goals allowed on the night. Maddie Kindred started for Minot State. She had zero saves and had a clean sheet for the Beavers.
Minot State struck first in the eighth minute when Rebecca Storr scored an unassisted goal. In the 26
th minute, Mila Robichon found the back of the net off an Anabel Noches assist. The Beavers went into the half with a 2-0 advantage.
Minot State added to the lead in the 51
st minute when Chloe Allan scored her fifth goal of the season off an Emma Monsen assist. In the 72
nd minute, Jordan Tenpas scored to make it 4-0. The Beavers put the final tally in when Maddy St. Yves scored in the 76
th minute to put Minot State ahead 5-0.
Minnesota Crookston will host University of Mary Sunday, October 23 at 1 p.m. for Senior Day in Crookston, Minn.
