Crookston, Minn. – Time has flown by, but this weekend marks the final home regular season series of the year for Minnesota Crookston baseball. The Golden Eagles will celebrate senior weekend and their 13 seniors as they welcome the Beavers of Bemidji State for a three-game series tomorrow and Sunday.

The Golden Eagles are coming off a huge sweep at the hands of Northern State on Wednesday with the help of their bats. The Golden Eagles hit five home runs in the two-game sweep, including a grand slam off the bat of
Mason Ruhlman (R-Sr., 2B, Algonac, Mich.). The Golden Eagles now have hit a school record 45 home runs, including a conference-leading 10 from
Brock Reller (Sr., OF, Grand Forks, N.D.).
Jake Hjelle (So., 1B, East Grand Forks, Minn.) has eight home runs on the season. The Golden Eagles currently have eight hitters hitting over .300 on the season, including
Parker Stroh (R-Fr., C, Grand Forks, N.D.), who is hitting .351 with three home runs and 10 RBI's on the season. As a team, the maroon and gold are fourth in the NSIC in runs scored at 216 and second in the conference with 45 home runs. Minnesota Crookston has scored 40 runs in two games against Bemidji State this season
On the bump, the Golden Eagles have been led by
Jake Dykhoff (Jr., RHP, Wadena, Minn.). The junior has been unreal on the hill, leading the Golden Eagles with a 5-0 record in six starts, with a 2.18 ERA and 61 strikeouts. In the bullpen, the Golden Eagles have leaned heavily on youngsters
Brody Sorenson (Fr., RHP/3B, Grand Forks, N.D.) and
Jake Osowski (R-Fr., RHP, East Grand Forks, Minn.). The duo is 5-1 on the season in 17 appearances and have combined for 30 strikeouts.
Conner Richardson (Jr., P, Grand Forks, N.D.) and
Matt Nelson (So., P, Afton, Minn.) have combined to make 10 starts on the season.
Bemidji State (7-25, 6-21 NSIC)
The Beavers are a familiar opponent for the Golden Eagles. These two teams met earlier this season down in Fort Scott, Kan. The Golden Eagles won both matchups. The Beavers are coming into Crookston playing pretty well. BSU is coming off a sweep over the University of Mary on Wednesday.
Offensively, BSU has been led by Parker Borg and Sam Kalberer, Borg leads the Beavers with a .325 average, while Kalberer leads his team with 33 hits. Tom Keohen leads the Beavers with three home runs on the season.
On the hill, Bemidji State has struggled to prevent runs. BSU has a team ERA of 11.14 on the season. Logan Barrick has been the Beavers most consistent starter. Barrick has made six starts on the season and has two complete games and 22 strikeouts. Will Lavin and Alex Fietek have combined to make 13 starts and each could see a start this weekend in Crookston.
