3/8/2021 4:43:00 PM

Crookston, Minn. – In a year that some thought might not have happened, Minnesota Crookston hockey will wrap-up their inaugural season at home with a weekend series against the Jimmies of the University of Jamestown. These two teams met in January, with the two teams splitting the weekend series in Jamestown.

Minnesota Crookston will look to continue the momentum they gained in Grand Forks two weekends ago. The Golden Eagles scored 13 goals in two games against the Fighting Hawks, while freshman goalie Jake Sumner (Fr., G, Alta Loma, Calif.) allowed just two goals on the weekend. The sweep against the Fighting Hawks halted a six-game losing streak for Minnesota Crookston.

The Golden Eagles are led by Casey Kallock (Jr., D, East Grand Forks, Minn.), who has 16 points on the season, including a team-high 10 assists on the season. Leading the team in goals is Wisconsin-Stout transfer Cam Olstad (So., F, Grand Forks, N.D.), who has 10 snipes on the season. Olstad had a homecoming against UND, collecting his first career hat-trick in Friday night's win over UND.

The Golden Eagles currently have five players with 10 or more points, led by both Kallock and Olstad with 16 and 14, respectively. Tyler Zahradka (Fr., F, Grand Forks, N.D.) and Josh Nelson (Fr., D, East Grand Forks, Minn.) each have 11 points on the season, while Zach Larson (Fr., F, Grand Forks, N.D.) has 10 on the season.

The blue line has been good this season for the Golden Eagles, as they have accounted for 36 points on the season.

Minnesota Crookston has scored 3.8 goals per game on the season.
