CROOKSTON, Minn. – The University of Minnesota Crookston baseball team was ranked 25
th in the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Division II poll released Wednesday, March 25. The Golden Eagles were also ranked 26
th in the Collegiate Baseball Division II poll. The rankings are the first for the UMN Crookston baseball program.
Minnesota Crookston has started the 2021 season with a 13-1 (9-1 NSIC) record. The Golden Eagles are off to their start in their time as a NCAA Division II program. It has been a remarkable climb for the UMN Crookston baseball program. The Golden Eagles have been to 3-of-5 NSIC Tournaments that have been played since 2016. Minnesota Crookston now has 136 wins in the last seven seasons since Head Coach
Steve Gust took over. The Golden Eagles had one just two games during the 2013 and 2014 seasons. Minnesota Crookston is in second place in the NSIC standings behind Minnesota State University..
The Golden Eagles look to continue their strong start Friday, April 2 and Saturday, April 3 in three games against Wayne State College.
