CROOKSTON, Minn. – The University of Minnesota Crookston tennis team will compete in two NSIC matches this weekend in Virginia, Minn. The Golden Eagles will take on University of Mary on Saturday and Minnesota State University Moorhead Sunday.
Minnesota Crookston comes in with a 0-1 mark. UMary opens up the season against the Golden Eagles. MSU Moorhead also opens the season this weekend.
The Golden Eagles were led at the No. 1 spot by
Tasha Achermann (Fr., Motley, Minn.), who was named the NSIC Player to Watch for UMN Crookston.
Michelle Swyter (Jr., Perham, Minn.) played No. 2 singles last week against Bemidji State. In doubles, Achermann and Swyter played No. 1 doubles.
