CROOKSTON, Minn. – The University of Minnesota Crookston women's soccer team fell 3-0 to Upper Iowa University Friday, October 15 at Pattison Field in Fayette, Iowa. The Peacocks scored two goals in the first half and put a final stamp on the game in the 87^th minute.

Minnesota Crookston fell to 1-11-0 (1-8-0 NSIC) with Friday's loss. Upper Iowa improved to 6-5-0 (4-5-0 NSIC) with the victory.

The Golden Eagles were guided by two shots and one shot on goal from Abby Fettinger (Fr., MF, White Bear Lake, Minn.). Kathryn Brainerd (Jr., D, Corcoran, Minn.), Jacqueline Calderon (So., MF, Indio, Calif.), and Brooklyn Fischbach (Fr., MF, South St. Paul, Minn.) also added shots for the Golden Eagles.

Abby Olsen (So., GK, Chisago City, Minn.) notched seven saves and allowed three goals on Friday.

Minnesota Crookston had five shots Friday and one shot on goal.

Upper Iowa was guided by two goals from Haley Ramberg and a goal from Sami Reding.  

In goal, Natalie Rudrud had a shutout with one save in 90 minutes

The Peacocks had 28 shots Friday and 10 shots on goal.

Upper Iowa broke the 0-0 tie in the 20^th minute when Ramberg scored off an assist from Leah Willenbring.

The Peacocks extended the lead to 2-0 in the 38^th minute when Reding found the tally off an assist from Aimee Sies.

Upper Iowa pushed the advantage to 3-0 in the 87^th minute on a Ramberg goal from a Reding assist.

Minnesota Crookston continues their road trip Sunday, October 17 with a game at 1 p.m. at Winona State University.
