5/8/2020 10:07:00 AM

As we our currently all working, working out, and doing school from the comfort of our homes during this time of quarantine, we decided it was a good time to bring back our volleyball blog. In the sixth edition of "Catching Up with Golden Eagle Volleyball", we hear from Deaira Gresham (Maplewood, Minn.), Natalie Koke (Caledonia, Wis.), and Katie Lienemann (Rosemount, Minn.).

Hello Golden Eagle followers!

I hope everyone has been staying healthy and participating in the stay at home order. As the weather gets nicer, it is starting to get tougher and tougher to stay indoors. With that being said, if you are able to go out and enjoy the weather, remember to always practice social distancing! Anyways, life has been interesting with the virus. I work at Cub Foods pharmacy and we recently made the switch to every employee having to wear a mask during their shift. Although it is different, I believe it's a necessary enforcement. Also, I went to Menards the other day and was shocked to see that they are requiring every customer that enters to wear a mask. Times are a bit different nowadays, but I have still been able to find some fun things to do. My family and I were able to celebrate my brother's birthday this past weekend. It was a quarantine style celebration, but still fun! My days have been mostly filled with preparing for finals, packing to move at the end of the month, and working in the pharmacy. As different as things are right now, these times have made me more thankful for being in the medical field and my family's' health. Best of luck with finals and I hope you all have a great summer!

Hello again! I hope everyone is doing well since the last time we talked. I have been doing different activities to keep me occupied since last time. It has been getting nicer out so I have been spending any time I can outside. I either play with my dog outside or take a walk around the pond I live by. I also have been online shopping which isn't good for my bank account but keeps me occupied. I have also been watching a lot of game shows and movies. My cousin and grandma's birthdays were this past week so my family and I did the drive-by birthday parade. It was nice to see all of my family members, but at a safe distance of course. This time is getting harder and harder to find things to do but within the last 2 weeks I have been doing many final projects and final exams. I am excited to say I have 2 more exams to finish, then I am done with my sophomore year. I am excited to be done with school work and for summer to start. I hope everyone is staying safe and taking advantage of this time. HAGS (have a great summer)!

Katie

Hi all it's Katie again! Some things have changed for me since the last time I wrote in the blog. I just finished all my classes this week and it feels good to be done. I am taking two summer classes to keep me busy and also started a job. I am working as a Shipt shopper. I go shop for people's groceries that they order and deliver them to their house. It keeps me busy and up and moving. It is so different to see so many face masks and gloves, I would have never thought I would see those at a grocery store. I also have been spending a lot more time outside because it has been nice and doing things such as running, working out, campfires, camping, and hammocking. I am excited to see what this summer has in store! Have a great summer!
