CROOKSTON, Minn. – The University of Minnesota Crookston trap team sits in second place after the results for Week 1 of the USA College Clay Target League 1A-Conference 2 were released Wed., Nov. 18. The USA College Clay Target League is releasing the results for the five weeks of competition that took place this fall. The results will be released Nov. 18-22.
The Golden Eagles had a total score of 155.5 to sit in second behind Southwest Wisconsin Technical College, who scored a 202.5 in the first week. Minnesota Crookston is currently ahead of Mount Aloysius College and Mitchell Technical Institute.
Colton Schrempp (Jr., Victoria, Minn.) led the way for UMN Crookston with a score of 24.5 to sit tied for second in the conference.
Dan Rowe (Sr., Clarissa, Minn.) was the second-best shooter for the Golden Eagles with a score of 24.0 to sit tied for fourth.
Peyton Verbout (So., Goodridge, Minn.) finished with a 23.0 to tie for ninth in the conference standings.
Aria Kapsner (Jr., Little Falls, Minn.) was the top female for the Golden Eagles with a score of 21.0. It was the third-best score by a female shooter.
Hailyanna Sundeen (Sr., Rockford, Minn.) tallied a 20.5, while
Alyssa Kasprick (Jr., Thief River Falls, Minn.) scored a 20.0.
McKena Wilmer (Jr., Williams, Minn.) put up a score of 19.5, while
Beth Rockensock (Sr., Menahga, Minn.) and
Madie Wildfeuer (So., Williams, Minn.) each scored 19.0 on the week.
The Golden Eagles are one of 13 teams in two USA College Clay Target League conferences. Bismarck State College currently leads after week one in the other conference.
