CROOKSTON, Minn. - The University of Minnesota Crookston baseball team will head to Minneapolis, Minn. to take on Dickinson State University in a doubleheader at U.S. Bank Stadium starting at 10 p.m.

The Golden Eagles comes into the weekend with a 1-2 mark after splitting with Minot State University and falling to No. 23 Minnesota State University-Mankato.

Minnesota Crookston was led in the first weekend by
Jason Angelo (Jr., 2B, Manteca, Calif.), who hit .400 with three runs scored, one double and two RBI's.
Reed Hjelle (So., 1B, East Grand Forks, Minn.) also had a strong debut to the season, batting .400 with one triple and three RBI's. U of M Crookston will look to improve at the plate as they hit just .191 in the first weekend. The Golden Eagles scored nine runs with two doubles, three triples and eight RBI's.
Minnesota Crookston was led on the mound last weekend by
Cody Pamperin (Sr., RHP, Shakopee, Minn.), who posted a 0-0 mark with a 0.00 ERA in foru innings pitched.
Justin Yutrzenka (Fr., RHP, Argyle, Minn.) had an impressive debut as he posted a 0.00 ERA in two innings of relief, earning his first career save.
Jayden Grover (Fr., RHP, Cooperstown, N.D.) also had a strong first collegiate outing as he struck out the side for Minnesota State.
Dickinson State comes in with a 3-5 mark on the season. The Blue Hawks played eight games as part of their Fall season. Saturday's doubleheader will mark their first games of the 2017 season. Dickinson State returns Sagan Osborne from last season, who hit .353 with 34 runs and 41 RBI's. Jacob Cuch returns after batting .319 with 27 runs scored, 11 doubles and 27 RBI's.
Dickinson State returns Joey Buchanan, who was 1-3 with a 5.50 ERA in 37.2 innings pitched. Sean Getchell posted a 2-1 mark with a 3.18 ERA in 34.0 innings pitched with six saves.
