#CaitlinCatchingFire
UMC sophomore guard Caitlin Michaelis is coming off her best game of the season. Michaelis had 11 points on 3-of-6 from the field against Upper Iowa in a win. Michaelis was also a perfect 4-of-4 from the charity stripe, including the game-clinching free throws. She will look to build off her performance in the Upper Iowa game heading into two conference home games this weekend.

#HughesLeadingTheWay
Alison Hughes continues to pace the Golden Eagles this season. Hughes is one of the NSIC's leading scorers this season at 16.4 points per game. She is coming off a major performance against Upper Iowa, in which she had 23 points on 5-of-11 from the field and 5-of-9 from beyond the arc. She continues to be the go-to player for UMC this season, averaging 42.6 percent from beyond the arc and 41.6 percent from the field. In addition, she leads the league at 93.4 percent from the charity stripe. She was a perfect 8-of-8 from there against the Peacocks.

#Chasing100
UMC Head Coach Mike Roysland needs just one win to pick up his 100th career win. Roysland has been with the Golden Eagles for the last 11 years. He will become the first UMC coach in the NSIC era to reach 100 wins. Roysland has had 34 wins in the last three years en route to two NSIC/Sanford Health quarterfinal appearances in 2015 and 2016.

#GruberInTheClutch
UMC junior Emily Gruber had a slow start to the season, but she has come into form in recent weeks. Gruber is averaging 11.7 points per game over the last three for the Golden Eagles. Gruber was crucial in Saturday's win over Upper Iowa. The forward played most of the game with four fouls, but avoided fouling out and came away with some big baskets and big rebounds down the stretch for UMC. She finished with 13 points and three assists in the win for UMC. She will look to build off her recent performances as she heads into the weekend.
