Crookston, Minn.- After opening the season with six straight road games, the UMC soccer team will finally play on their home pitch tomorrow afternoon when they host Minot State University in a NSIC match that is scheduled to start at 1:00 pm.

The Golden Eagles enter the game with a conference record of 1-2, 2-4 overall while the Beavers arrive in Crookston with a mark of 2-0 in NSIC play and 3-1 overall. Minot State has been led in scoring by Ninfa Ramirez (Sr., Perris, Calif.) who has scored six goals to go with one assist for 13 total points. Both the goals and points are second best in the NSIC. Chloe Melton (Sr., Fleet, England) is also in the conference top ten for points as she has six, with two goals and two assists.

Through their four games played, Minot State has only surrendered three goals with Leila Torres (Sr., San Bruno, Calif.) and Erin Rafferty (Fr., Littleton, Colo.) splitting time in goal. Torres has allowed one goal in 186 minutes played while Rafferty has allowed a pair of goals through 182 minutes in goal.

UMC has used a trio of goalkeepers with
Lexie Gauger (Green Bay, Wis./Criminal Justice) logging the most minutes between the pipes. The senior keeper has backstopped the Golden Eagle team to both of their 2016 victories.

The Golden Eagle offense has yet to have a breakout performance with only four goals through their six games played.
Lindsey Daml (Fr., North Pole, Alaska) has led the way with a pair of goals while
Kallie Gau (Sr., Monticello, Minn./Early Childhood & Elementary Education) and
Lorna McCall (So., Chicago, Ill.) have each scored once. Daml is also leading her squad in shots as she has taken seven total shots, a number that has been equaled by senior defender
Samantha Deutsch (Lakeville, Minn./Accounting and Finance).
