CROOKSTON, Minn. – The University of Minnesota Crookston's baseball series against Upper Iowa University has been moved to Sun., April 17 and Mon., April 18. The series was originally scheduled for Sat., April 16 and Sun., April 17, but has been moved back a day due to a forecast of rain on Saturday in Crookston. The games will be played Sun., April 17 at 1 and 3:30 p.m. and Mon., April 18 at 12 and 2:30 p.m.
Minnesota Crookston comes into the weekend with a 15-10 (8-3 NSIC) mark. The Golden Eagles just set their wins mark in a season at 15 with a sweep Wednesday over Bemidji State University. Minnesota Crookston has now won 29 games in two seasons under Head Coach
Steve Gust after just two wins in the previous two seasons. The Golden Eagles are currently fourth in the NSIC standings.
The Golden Eagles are led on the season by
Reed Hjelle (Fr., OF/1B, East Grand Forks, Minn.), who is hitting .417 on the year with 23 runs scored, 10 doubles, four home runs and 22 RBI's.

Ryan Haggstrom (Sr., 1B/RHP, Apple Valley, Minn.) is having his best season in a Golden Eagle uniform. Haggstrom is batting .406 with a team-high 28 runs scored. In addition, he has three home runs and 25 RBI's.
On the bump,
Luke Thoma (Sr., RHP, Little Falls, Minn.) is 3-0 with a 4.85 ERA in 13 innings pitched. Olan Wahlberg (Sr., RHP, Blaine, Minn.) comes in with a 6-1 mark and a 5.22 ERA in 50 innings pitched on the year.
Upper Iowa enters the weekend with a 10-15 (6-8 NSIC) mark. Coach Mark Danker's squad was swept in a mid-week double dip with University of Sioux Falls.
The Peacocks are led by Anthony Calton, who is hitting .324 with 21 runs scored, five doubles and 14 RBI's on the year. Upper Iowa hits .294 as a team. In addition to Caiton, Luis Ravelo is batting .318 with 20 runs scored and 19 RBI's on the season.
On the mound, Upper Iowa looks to Mitch Moser, who is 4-1 with a 5.45 ERA in 34.2 innings pitched. Tyus Adkins is 3-2 with a 6.75 ERA in 34.2 innings pitched.
