CROOKSTON, Minn. - The University of Minnesota Crookston men's basketball team will take on University of Sioux Falls Friday at 8 p.m. and Southwest Minnesota State University Saturday at 6 p.m.
The UMC men's basketball team is on a nine-game losing streak coming into the weekend. The Golden Eagles are 6-14 (4-12 NSIC). Minnesota Crookston has been led this season by the play of
Derrick Redd, Jr., a junior guard who is averaging 11.6 points per game, while senior forward
Tyler West, Jr. is averaging 10.1 points and 7.3 rebounds per game on the season.
Sioux Falls is 7-15 (4-12 NSIC). The Cougars are led by guard Charles Ward, who is averaging 17.6 point per game. In addition to Ward, guard Mack Johnson is averaging 14.5 points per game on the season. Sioux Falls is in seventh place in the NSIC South.
The Mustangs are currently 10-12 (6-10) and is in sixth in the NSIC South. Southwest Minnesota State has been led by forward Joey Bartlett, who is averaging 14.9 points per game, while guard Cole Martin is averaging 13.0 points per game and forward Mitch Weg is averaging 12.3 points and 6.0 rebounds per game.
