CROOKSTON, Minn. - The University of Minnesota Crookston women's basketball team will look to continue one of their best season's in program history as they head to the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, S.D. for the quarterfinals of the NSIC/Sanford Health Tournament. The Golden Eagles will match up with No. 2 seed in the South, Minnesota State University, Mankato. UMC is the No. 3 seed in the North.
 The two teams will tip off at 2:30 Saturday. The winner will move on to play the winner of Northern State University and Augustana (S.D.) Mon., March 1 at 12 p.m. at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, S.D.
The Golden Eagles are 14-13 on the season, led by NSIC Coach of the Year
Mike Roysland. Minnesota State comes in with a 20-8 mark, led by Emilee Thiesse. The Golden Eagles picked up a 75-70 win over the Mavericks Jan. 17 at Lysaker Gymnasium.
Minnesota Crookston is led by All-NSIC First Team selections
Katrina Moenkedick (Jr., F, Perham, Minn./Applied Studies) and
Alexa Thielman (Jr., G, Buffalo, Minn./Health Science). Moenkedick comes ina veraging 14.4 points and 6.7 rebounds, while Thielman is averaging 15.7 points and 4.3 rebounds.
Minnesota State looks to All-NSIC First Team pick Aubrey Davis, who comes in averaging 13.6 points and 4.7 assists per game. All-NSIC Second Team selection Lexie Ulfers joins her. Ulfers is averaging 12.5 points and 6.6 rebounds per game on the season.
