CROOKSTON, Minn. -  The University of Minnesota Crookston's baseball games against Northern State University scheduled for April 5 and April 6 have been moved for a second time. The Golden Eagles were originally scheduled to play the Wolves in Aberdeen, S.D. but the games had been moved to South Sioux City, Neb. However, due to snow that hit the South Sioux City area, the games have been moved to Redfield, S.D., 40 miles to the South of Aberdeen, S.D.

The Golden Eagles will play Northern State Sun., April 6 at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. and Mon., April 7 at 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. at the American Legion Centennial Ballpark in Redfield, S.D.

Minnesota Crookston comes into the weekend with a 1-19 (0-8 NSIC) record. The Golden Eagles have been close in several games this season but are currently looking to get over the hump as they face the Wolves. Minnesota Crookston has been led this season by Ryan Haggstrom (So., C/1B/P, Apple Valley, Minn./Accounting), who is batting .368 with 12 runs scored and 10 RBI's (Runs Batted In). Haggstrom has had one of the best starts of any UMC player in recent history. He currently holds a .434 slugging percentage and a .402 on-base percentage.

In addition to Haggstrom, Jesse Jennings (Jr., OF, Robbinsdale, Minn./Criminal Justice) enters the weekend hitting .254 with five runs scored and two RBI's.

On the mound, some of UMC's best production has come from the bullpen. Ryan Paasch (Sr., P, Sauk Rapids, Minn./Sports and Rec Management) is 0-1 with a 5.68 ERA (Earned Runs Average) in 12.2 innings pitched, while Thane Larson (Sr., P, Grantsburg, Wis./Natural Resources) is 0-1 with a 7.36 ERA in 18.1 innings pitched. In addition freshman Cayden Barta (P, Fargo, N.D./Criminal Justice) is 0-0 with a 1.69 ERA in 5.1 innings pitched.

Northern State enters the weekend with a 10-10 (4-6 NSIC) mark. The wolves have been paced in the batter's box by the play of Derek Tymesen, who is batting .378 with three runs scored and nine RBI's, while Matt Stubbs is hitting .328 with 19 runs scored and 11 RBI's.

Leading the way pitching for Northern State is Cody Johns, who is 2-2 with a 2.51 ERA in 28.2 innings pitched. John Eckstein has been one of the team's other top starters with a 2-2 mark and a 4.77 ERA in 28.1 innings pitched.
