CROOKSTON, Minn. - The University of Minnesota Crookston baseball team's games against No. 3 Minnesota State University, Mankato have been relocated to Mankato, Minn. due to field conditions of the UMC Baseball Field. The baseball field is close to being in playing condition after the team has worked diligently to get it ready, but will not be ready to host Minnesota State this weekend.

The Golden Eagles were slated to host the Mavericks Sat., April 12 and Sun., April 13, those games have been moved to April 12 at 1:30 and 3:30 p.m. and April 13 at 12 and 2 p.m. They will be played at the MSU Baseball Complex in Mankato, Minn.

Minnesota Crookston has been led at the plate by Ryan Haggstrom (So., C/1B/P, Apple Valley, Minn.), who is having one of the best seasons of any Golden Eagle in recent history. Haggstrom is batting .368 with 14 runs scored and 12 Runs Batted In (RBI's). In addition to Haggstrom, Travis Magdzas (Jr., OF, Duluth, Minn./Criminal Justice) has carried a hot bat of late and is batting .308 with four runs scored and six RBI's.

On the rubber, UMC's pitching staff has been guided by Richie Navratil (Sr., P, Blansko, Czech Republic/Sports and Rec Management), who is 0-6 with a 7.75 ERA in 38.1 innings pitched. Navratil has been very strong at point but has also run across some struggles at others.

Minnesota State is currently the third-ranked team in the latest NCBWA National poll. The Mavericks are 24-7 on the season and 12-4 in conference play. Minnesota State's bats have been led by Max Waletich, who is batting .346 with 15 runs scored and 17 RBI's. In addition to Walletich, Stetson Olson is hitting .295 with 29 runs scored and 26 RBI's.

On the mound, UMC's pitching staff has been strong, holding a 3.74 Earned Runs Average (ERA) on the season. Jason Hoppe leads the way with a 6-1 mark and a 3.15 ERA in 45.2 innings pitched with 53 strikeouts. In addition to Hoppe, T.J. Larson comes in with a 3-2 mark and a 3.41 ERA in 31.2 innings pitched.
