CROOKSTON, Minn. - The University of Minnesota Crookston men's basketball will wrap up regular- season non-conference play with a game against Crossroads College at 1 p.m. at Lysaker Gymnasium. The Golden Eagles enter the weekend with a 1-2 mark overall after picking up their first win of the
Dan Weisse era Wednesday over University of Jamestown.
The Golden Eagles have been led so far this season by
Derrick Redd, Jr. (Jr., G, Menifee, Calif./Sports and Rec Management), who is coming off 22 points against Jamestown. Redd is averaging 12.0 points and 5.0 rebounds per game. In addition to Redd,
Tyler West, Jr. (Sr., G/F, Portland, Ore./Communications) comes in averaging 7.0 points and 5.0 rebounds per game.
Lucas Reller (Sr., G, Lead, S.D./Management) has also had an impact, averaging 5.7 points per game and shooting 50.0 percent from beyond the arc.
UMC is averaging 54.4 points per game as a team, while shooting 32.8 percent from the field and 30.0 percent from beyond the arc.
Crossroads comes into the weekend with a 1-6 overall mark. The lone win for the Knights came against Lincoln Christian. The Knights have been led on the year by forward Isaac Bowles, who is averaging 12.1 points and 5.6 rebounds. In addition to Bowles, guard Gabe Davila is averaging 9.9 points per game and shooting 43.3 percent from beyond the arc, while Rajohn Lewis is averaging 8.1 points per game.
As a team, the Knights are averaging 72.4 points per game and shooting 41.7 percent from the field and 38.1 percent from beyond the arc.
