Ending The Skid
The University of Minnesota, Crookston enters Friday and Saturday's games on a seven-game losing skid with their last victory coming Jan. 5 versus Northern State. The Golden Eagles lost in the final seconds against MSU Moorhead in their second game during the losing streak that they had lost in the final seconds. The first was against No. 22 Wayne State College. The Golden Eeagles are hopeful to get on a winning track this weekend against University of Sioux Falls and Southwest Minnesota State University.

When the Golden Eagles Out-Rebound Their Foes...
UMC is 4-1 this season when they win the rebounding edge over their opponents but on the flip side is 1-12 when they get out-rebounded. The Golden Eagles haven't won the rebounding edge since defeating Northern State Jan. 5 and will look to do so this weekend.

Wiese Climbing All-Time Scoring Charts
2011-12 All-NSIC Second Team pick Brittani Wiese has had a great first three years at UMC despite missing the end of last season due to a knee injury. The senior guard leads team in scoring averaging 11.3 points per game.
Wiese became the seventh player in program history to eclipse 1,000 points Dec. 15 against University of Mary with friend and UMC all-time leading scorer Jamie Zelinsky on the
opposing bench as an assistant coach.
Wiese now has 1,098 points in her career, which is fourth all-time at UMC. Wiese surpassed Steph Mayclin for fourth place with 15 points versus MSU Moorhead last
Saturday. Wiese needs 146 points to move past Kari Score in third place.

Tyson Sets Career Rebounding Record
Senior Center Laurie Tyson has been a force on the boards for her four seasons at UMC. Tyson's 10 rebounds against MSU Moorhead Jan. 4 moved her into a tie with Kari Score for the rebounding record which she officially broke with her first rebound of the game against Northern State Jan. 5. Tyson is currently averaging 7.1 rebounds per game during her senior campaign. Tyson has accumulated 617 rebounds in her four seasons as a Golden Eagle.
