Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 (Crookston, Minn.)- Augustana College swept a Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) doubleheader today in Crookston, Minn. The Vikings took game one 2-0 in eight innings and the nightcap 10-0. Augustana College improves to 14-9 overall and 3-9 in the NSIC. U of M, Crookston falls to 8-17 overall and 3-9 in the NSIC.

The Golden Eagles return to NSIC action at home on Wednesday, April 11 when they host the University of Mary in a doubleheader. First-pitch is scheduled for 1:30 p.m.

Game One Recap

Derek Hansen threw a complete game, one-hit shutout and the Vikings scored two runs in the top of the eighth to break a scoreless deadlock as Augustana won 2-0.  Hansen struck out 17 and walked two. Brian Knight went 2-3 for the Vikings.

Jordan Flick (Jr, RHP, Dassel, Minn.) threw seven innings allowing no runs on five hits while striking out six and walking one. Joe Miller (Fr, RHP, Winona, Minn.) took the loss in relief surrendering two runs (one earned) on one hit while walking three and striking out one.

Game Two Recap

Cole Jenkins and Derek Quame combined on a two-hit shutout as Augustana took the nightcap 10-0. Jenkins threw five innings allowing two hits while striking out five and walking two to get the win. Brian Knight had three hits. David Borchardt went 2-4 with two runs batted in (RBI) and two runs scored. Nate Hewes added two hits.
