Box Score (Crookston, Minn.)- Concordia College of Moorhead scored in every inning except the fourth and exploded for six runs in the bottom half of the sixth as they defeated the University of Minnesota, Crookston 15-3 in a non-conference baseball game at the Jake Christiansen Athletic Complex today in Moorhead, Minn. The game was called after seven innings due to the ten-run rule.
Braden Rahman led the way for the Cobbers going 3-5 with four runs batted in (RBI) and two runs scored. He also hit a two-run homerun. Jordan Doschadis went 2-3 with one RBI and three runs scored. Brad Olson went 2-5 with two RBI. Michael Olson went 2-3 with one RBI and two runs scored. Erik Stoa had a hit and four RBI. Luke Kremer threw five innings allowing three runs on eight hits while striking out one to pick up the win.
Matt Korte (So, RHP/3B/OF, St. Cloud, Minn.) went 4-4 with one run scored to lead U of M, Crookston.
Ben Lazzari (Sr, OF, Shakopee, Minn.) went 2-3 with a double and two RBI.
P.J. Zwach (Sr, 3B, St. Paul, Minn.) added a double, an RBI and a run scored.
Josh Brehmer (So, 2B, Roseville, Minn.) added two hits.
Bobby Arens (Jr, RHP, Kimball, Minn.) threw threw three innings allowing eight runs on seven hits while striking out three and walking two to suffer the loss.
Concordia-Moorhead improves to 9-8. The Golden Eagles fall to 7-14.
U of M, Crookston returns to action with a four-game Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) series against Augustana College on Thursday, April 5 and Friday, April 6. Doubleheaders begin at 2 p.m. and 12 p.m. respectively at the UMC Baseball Field.
