(Crookston, Minn.)- The University of Minnesota, Crookston Baseball team hits the road for six Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) Baseball games this week. The Golden Eagles travel to Mankato, Minn. on Wednesday, April 25 to face Minnesota State University (MSU) in a doubleheader starting at 12 p.m. U of M, Crookston travels to St. Cloud, Minn. on Saturday, April 28 and Sunday, April 29 to face St. Cloud State University in a four-game series. Doubleheaders begin at 2 p.m. and 1 p.m. respectively.
U of M, Crookston has an overall record of 10-28 and NSIC record of 4-20 after dropping an NSIC doubleheader to Bemidji State University, defeating Mayville State University in a non-conference game and going 1-3 in a four-game series with the University of Minnesota Duluth. The Golden Eagles are led by
Josh Brehmer (So, 2B, Roseville, Minn.) who is hitting .362 (50-138) with 18 runs batted in (RBI).
Charlie Pelzer (So, 2B, Roseville, Minn.) is hitting .315 (39-124) with 12 RBI.
Jordan Prill (Jr, 1B, Melrose, Minn.) is hitting .312 (39-125) with 11 RBI.
Nick Kelzer (So, RHP, Delano, Minn.) is 3-3 on the mound with a 5.44 earned run average (ERA) and 25 strikeouts.
Golden Eagles vs. Minnesota State University Wednesday, April 25 (2) 12 p.m.
The Mavericks have an overall record of 29-7 and NSIC record of 17-3. MSU is led by Lucas Skjefte who is hitting .337 (49-130) with 18 RBI. Harvey Martin is 8-0 with a 2.88 ERA and 37 strikeouts.
Golden Eagles vs. St. Cloud State University Saturday, April 28 (2) 2 p.m.
Sunday, April 29 (2) 1 p.m.
The Huskies have an overall record of 29-10 and NSIC record of 14-6. They are led by Phil Imholte who is hitting .357 (46-130) with 20 RBI. Logan Birr is 7-0 with a 2.95 ERA and 50 strikeouts.
