(Crookston, Minn.)- The University of Minnesota, Crookston Baseball team plays five games this week. The Golden Eagles start with a single nine-inning, non-conference game at Concordia-Moorhead on Tuesday, April 3 at 3:30 p.m. U of M, Crookston returns to Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) action at home on Friday, April 6 and Saturday, April 7 against Augustana College. Both doubleheaders begin at 12 p.m. at the UMC Baseball Field.

The Golden Eagles split an NSIC doubleheader with Northern State University on Saturday losing 4-2 and winning 8-6 before being swept on Sunday by scores of 3-1 and 8-3 in ten innings. U of M, Crookston has an overall record of 7-13 and NSIC record of 2-6. They are led by Matt Korte (So, RHP/3B/OF, St. Cloud, Minn.) who is hitting .424 (14-33) with four runs batted in (RBI). Jordan Osmundson (Fr, OF, East Grand Forks, Minn.) is hitting .393 (24-61) with eight RBI. Josh Brehmer (So, 2B, Roseville, Minn.) is hitting .384 (28-73) with 12 RBI. Charlie Pelzer (So, SS, Roseville, Minn.) is hitting .379 (25-66) with eight RBI. Bobby Arens (Jr, RHP, Kimball, Minn.) is 2-0 with a 2.35 earned run average (ERA). Joe Miller (Fr, RHP, Winona, Minn.) is 0-1 with two saves and a 3.60 ERA. Nick Kelzer (So, RHP, Delano, Minn.) is 1-1 with a 4.68 ERA.

Golden Eagles @ Concordia-Moorhead            Tuesday, April 3            3:30 p.m.

The Cobbers have an overall record of 8-8 and Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) record of 1-1 after splitting a
doubleheader at Carleton College on Saturday. Concordia-Moorhead lost 5-3 and won 4-2. They are led by Michael Olson who is hitting .353 (18-51) with eight RBI. Brad Olson is hitting .341 (15-44) with five RBI. Jackson Meland is 2-1 with a 3.00 ERA. Zach Frappier is 2-3 with a 3.14 ERA.

Golden Eagles vs. Augustana College            Friday, April 6 (2)                12 p.m.
                                                                                 Saturday, April 7 (2)            12 p.m.

The Vikings have an overall record of 11-8 and NSIC record of 6-2 after splitting a four-game NSIC series at Winona State University this past weekend. Augustana won 2-1 and lost 9-8 in ten innings on Saturday. They lost 3-2 but won 4-3 on Sunday. The Vikings are led by Tony Viger who is hitting .400 (14-35) with five RBI. Derek Hansen is hitting .394 (26-66) with three homeruns and 20 RBI. Tyson Gau is 3-0 with a 1.23 ERA.
