(Crookston, Minn.)- The University of Minnesota, Crookston Baseball team opens the home portion of the 2012 season on Saturday, March 31 and Sunday, April 1 when they host Northern State University (NSU) in a Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) series at the UMC Baseball Field. Doubleheaders begin at 12 p.m. each day.
The Golden Eagles have an overall record of 6-10 and NSIC record of 1-3 after going 1-3 in NSIC play at Upper Iowa University this past weekend.
Charlie Pelzer (So, SS, Roseville, Minn.) is hitting .412 (21-51) with eight runs batted in (RBI).
Josh Brehmer (So, 2B, Roseville, Minn.) is hitting .410 (25-61) with eight RBI.
Jordan Osmundson (Fr, OF, East Grand Forks, Minn.) is hitting .383 (18-47) with seven RBI.
Matt Korte (So, RHP/OF/3B, St. Cloud, Minn.) is hitting .370 (10-27).
J.C. Crane (Jr, C, Tucson, Ariz.) is hitting .317 (13-41) with five RBI.
Jordan Prill (Jr, 1B/DH, Melrose, Minn.) is hitting .314 (16-51).
Bobby Arens (Jr, RHP, Kimball, Minn.) is 2-0 with a 2.35 earned run average (ERA).
Nick Kelzer (So, RHP, Delano, Minn.) is 1-1 with a 4.82 ERA.

The Wolves have an overall record of 5-11 and NSIC record of 0-4 after dropping a four game NSIC series to Augustana College this past weekend. Jesse Gonzalez is hitting .378 (17-45). Max Myers is hitting .310 (13-42) with seven RBI. Nathan Nietfield is 1-3 with a 3.70 ERA.
