Box Score (Crookston, Minn.)- The University of Minnesota, Crookston Men's Basketball team hosted Augustana College today in the team's final contest of the season. The first half of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) game was a close knit battle on both sides of the bench. The Golden Eagles shot 12-29 from the field to keep the score equal with a very consistent Augustana offense. The ball bounced back and forth on offense while each defense fought hard to keep their team in the game.

The second half was much of the same story for the Golden Eagles. Once again, the offense came out on a relentless mission to take the lead. Despite jumping ahead of Augustana early in the second half, both teams continued to fight to regain the lead. The Golden Eagles scored 18 points off the bench and went 12-19 from the field in the second half. However, U of M, Crookston was not able to keep up their scoring streak and they fell short to the Vikings 70-61.

Despite the loss of tonight's contest, the game was more about the contributions of four Golden Eagle seniors. Kazeem Adelekan (6-6, Sr, G, Coon Rapids, Minn.), Jacolby Anderson (G, 6-2, Sr, G, Lancaster Texas) , Akeem Cubie (6-6, Sr, G/F, Minneapolis, Minn.), and Trent Graves (6-8, Sr, F, Hartford S.D).

The Golden Eagles were led tonight by Cubie, who tallied a team high 16 points .He also shot 6-13 from the field and grabbed four rebounds for his team. He finished his career with 1,202 points which ranks him second all-time at U of M, Crookston. Almir Krdzalic (5-11, Jr, G, Sioux Falls S.D.) tallied a total of 12 points, busted out eight assists and shot 5-10 from the field.

Augustana College was led tonight by Cameron McCafferey who tallied 24 points for the Vikings, grabbed five rebounds and shot 7-11 from the field. Leif Nomeland tallied 13 points for the Vikings, grabbed three rebounds and recorded one steal.

The Golden Eagles finish the season at 7-19 overall and 3-19 in the NSIC. Augustana College sits at 17-9 overall, and 14-8 in the NSIC.
