Big Second Half Leads Warriors Over Golden Eagle Men 60-37

Box Score (Crookston, Minn.)- Winona State University (WSU) outscored the University of Minnesota, Crookston 37-18 in the second half on their way to defeating the Golden Eagles 60-37 in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) Men's Basketball action tonight in Winona, Minn.

WSU (23-3, 18-2 NSIC) was led by Jon Walburg who scored 17 points (61-13) and added six rebounds. Clayton Vette added 11 points (3-7) and four rebounds.

U of M, Crookston (7-17, 3-17 NSIC) was led by Akeem Cubie (6-6, Sr, G/F, Minneapolis, Minn.) who scored eight points (4-11) with five rebounds.

The Golden Eagles close out the season at home on Friday, February 24 and Saturday, February 25 when they host Wayne State College (8 p.m.) and Augustana College (6 p.m.).
