(Crookston, Minn.)- The University of Minnesota, Crookston Men's Basketball team returns to Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) action on Saturday, January 7 and Sunday, January 8 when they travel to Northern State University (NSU) and the University of Mary (U-Mary) respectively. Friday's game begins at 6 p.m. while Saturday's game begins at 4 p.m.
The Golden Eagles have an overall record of 4-7 and NSIC record of 0-7 after dropping games to Southwest Minnesota State University (68-61) and Minnesota State University (74-65) on Monday and Tuesday. U of M, Crookston is led by
Akeem Cubie (6-6, Sr, G/F, Minneapolis, Minn.) who is averaging 17.1 points and 4.6 rebounds per game.
Jacolby Anderson (6-2, Sr, G, Lancaster, Tex.) is averaging 14.7 points per game.
Golden Eagles @ Northern State University Saturday, January 7 6 p.m.
The Wolves have an overall record of 8-4 and NSIC record of 4-4 after defeating Upper Iowa University 71-66 and Winona State University 60-58 on Monday and Tuesday. NSU is led by Dustin Tetzlaff who is averaging 15.5 points and 7.5 rebounds per game. Collin Pryor is averaging 14.1 points and 6.9 rebounds per game.
Golden Eagles @ University of Mary Sunday, January 8 4 p.m.
The Marauders have an overall record of 2-10 and NSIC record of 1-7 after dropping an 83-72 decision to Winona State University and a 76-72 overtime decision to Upper Iowa University on Monday and Tuesday. U-Mary is led by Josh Turner who is averaging 15.1 points and four rebounds per game. Darius Robinson is averaging 13 points per game. Damon Smith is averaging 12.6 points and 6.3 rebounds per game while Jalen Jaspers is averaging ten points per game.
