(Crookston, Minn.)- Fresh off their thrilling 82-79 victory over Minnesota State University Moorhead on Saturday night, the University of Minnesota, Crookston Men's Basketball squad returns to Lysaker Gymnasium for two Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) contests on Friday, February 3 and Saturday, February 4 against the University of Mary (U-Mary) and Northern State University (NSU). Game times are set for 8 p.m. and 6 p.m. respectively.
The Golden Eagles now hold an overall record of 6-12 and NSIC record of 2-12.
Akeem Cubie (6-6, Sr, G/F, Minneapolis, Minn.) leads U of M, Crookston averaging 16.8 points and 4.6 rebounds per game.
Jacolby Anderson (6-2, Sr, G, Lancaster, Tex.) is averaging 15.5 points per game.
Golden Eagles vs. University of Mary Friday, February 3 8 p.m.
The Marauders have an overall record of 4-15 and NSIC record of 3-12 after dropping a 72-65 decision to Bemidji State University and an 87-81 decision to the University of Minnesota Duluth this past weekend. U-Mary is led by Damon Smith who is averaging 14.6 points and 6.4 rebounds per game. Josh Turner is averaging 13.5 points per game. Darius Robinson is averaging 10.8 points per game. The Golden Eagles defeated the Marauders 56-53 on January 8.
Golden Eagles vs. Northern State University Saturday, February 4 6 p.m.
The Wolves have an overall record of 12-7 and NSIC record of 8-7 after defeating the University of Minnesota Duluth 93-74 and Bemidji State University 70-55 this past weekend. Dustin Tetzlaff is averaging 14.6 points and 7.1 rebounds per game. Collin Pryor is averaging 14 points and 6.6 rebounds per game. NSU defeated U of M, Crookston 80-77 on a last second shot on January 7.
