Box Score (Crookston, Minn.)- Concordia University, St. Paul (CSP) jumped out to a 38-22 halftime lead and never looked back as they defeated the University of Minnesota, Crookston 82-65 in a Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) Men's Basketball game tonight in St. Paul, Minn.
The Golden Bears (8-9 overall and 5-8 NSIC) shot a solid 54.5% and led by as many as 31 points with 10:30 left to go in the game. They were led by Kenny Olafeso who scored 16 points (5-5) and added four assists. Terez Van Pelt also scored 16 points (5-6). Peter Olafeso added 14 points (5-7) with five assists. Cole Olstad scored 11 points (5-6).
The Golden Eagles (5-12 overall and 1-12 NSIC) were led by
Alan Sharp, Jr. (6-1, Jr, G, Flint, Mich.) who scored 13 points (6-11) and pulled down six rebounds.
Akeem Cubie (6-6, Sr, G/F, Minneapolis, Minn.) added ten points (5-13).
U of M, Crookston returns to NSIC action on Saturday, January 28 when they host Minnesota State University Moorhead at Lysaker Gymnasium. Tip-off is scheduled for 4 p.m.
