Box Score (St. Cloud, Minn.) The University of Minnesota, Crookston Women's Basketball team returned to the road tonight to take on St. Cloud State who is tied with Minnesota, Crookston at 8-7 and 5-6 in the NSIC. The Golden Eagles led by as many as 11 points in the first half and shot 57.1% from the field. The Huskies made adjustments in the second half and held the Golden Eagles to just 23 points on 23.3% shooting from the field while adding 47 bench points to help SCSU take the 75-67 victory.
The Golden Eagles were led by
Megan Eul (F, 5-10, Sr. Rosemount Minn.) scored a team-high 18 points. She was 7-18 from the field and 3-5 from the free-throw line. Eul added five rebounds and a game-high five steals.
Brittani Wiese (G, 5-7, Jr., Albertville, Minn.) added 10 points while
Laurie Tyson (C, 6-1 Jr. Rosemount Minn.) dominated the boards with a game-high 13 rebounds.
St. Cloud State was led by Jessica Benson who scored a game-high 19 points. Rachael Molden and Aaryn Booker followed Benson with 14 and 13 points respectively. The difference in the contest was SCSU's bench which scored 47 points to UMC's 20.
Minnesota, Crookston now sits at 8-8 on the season and 5-7 in conference play. St. Cloud State advances to 9-7 overall and 6-6 in the NSIC. The Golden Eagles return to the court tomorrow to play Concordia- St. Paul in St. Paul, Minn. Game time is set for 4 p.m.
