(Crookston, Minn.)- The University of Minnesota, Crookston Men's Basketball team hits the road on Friday, January 20 and Saturday, January 21 when they travel to St. Cloud State University (SCSU) and Concordia University, St. Paul (CSP) respectively. Friday's Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) game begins at 8 p.m. while Saturday's game tips-off at 6 p.m.
The Golden Eagles have an overall record of 5-10 and NSIC record of 1-9 after dropping a pair of games this past weekend to Winona State University (57-74) and Upper Iowa University (48-61). U of M, Crookston is led by
Akeem Cubie (6-6, Sr, G/F, Minneapolis, Minn.) who is averaging 17.6 points and 4.5 rebounds per game.
Jacolby Anderson (6-2, Sr, G, Lancaster, Tex.) is averaging 16.3 points per game.
Golden Eagles @ St. Cloud State University Friday, January 20 8 p.m.
The Huskies have an overall record of 13-2 and NSIC record of 9-2 after defeating Bemidji State University (72-70) and the University of Minnesota Duluth (89-54) this past weekend. SCSU is led by Shaun Jensen who is averaging 13.2 points per game. Tim Bergstrasser is averaging 13.1 points and 7.7 rebounds per game. Brett Putz and Theo Rothstein are averaging 12 points and 11.5 points respectively. The
Huskies were ranked 21st in the latest National Basketball Coaches Association (NABC) poll.
Golden Eagles vs. Concordia-St. Paul Saturday, January 21 6 p.m.
The Golden Bears have an overall record of 6-9 and NSIC record of 3-8 after dropping games to the University of Minnesota Duluth (81-96) and Bemidji State University (77-100) this past weekend. Kenny Olafeso leads CSP averaging 17.2 points and 5.5 rebounds per game. Peter Olafeso is averaging 16.3 points and five rebounds per game.
