(Crookston, Minn.)- The University of Minnesota, Crookston Baseball team hits the road for six Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) contests this week. The Golden Eagles will travel to Bismarck, N.D. on Wednesday, April 13 for a doubleheader with the University of Mary. First pitch is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. at Bismarck Municipal Stadium. U of M, Crookston hits the road again for a four-game series in Aberdeen, S.D. against Northern State University on Saturday, April 16 and Sunday, April 17. Saturday's doubleheader begins at 2 p.m. while Sunday's doubleheader begins at 12 p.m.

The Golden Eagles have an overall record of 0-18 and NSIC record of 0-10 after dropping a four-game series at Upper Iowa University this past weekend. Ryan Kitzhaber (Fr, 1B, Withee, Wis.) leads U of M, Crookston hitting .308 (16-52) with 11 runs batted in (RBI). He went 6-13 with three runs scored and five RBI this past weekend. He also hit a double and his first career homerun. Chris Ciatti (Jr, C, Livonia, Mich.) is hitting .263 (15-57) with eight runs scored and two RBI. He went 7-14 with four runs scored and one RBI this past weekend. Nick Kelzer (Fr, RHP, Delano, Minn.) threw well in U of M, Crookston's 3-0 loss on Saturday. He has an 8.44 earned run average (ERA) with 12 strikeouts.

The Marauders have an overall record of 5-15 and NSIC record of 1-9 after dropping two games to Wayne State College this past weekend. Sunday's doubleheader was rained out. Steve Pletan is hitting .338 (23-68) with 12 RBI. Tate Leapaldt is hitting .333 (18-54) with seven RBI. Reid Jungling is 1-0 with a 4.12 ERA and nine strikeouts.

The Wolves have an overall record of 4-16 and NSIC record of 2-10 after dropping a four-game series at Augustana College this past weekend. They are led by Ronnie Sellars who is hitting .328 (19-58) with 11 RBI. Sean Winslow is 1-2 with a 5.33 ERA and 20 strikeouts.

The University of Minnesota, Crookston is an NCAA Division II Institution and a member of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC). The Golden Eagle Equestrian team is a member of the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA).
