(Crookston, Minn.)- The University of Minnesota, Crookston Men's Basketball squad looks to get back into the win column with a pair of games this week. The Golden Eagles play their final non-conference game on Tuesday, December 6 against Mayville State University at Lysaker Gymnasium. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. U of M, Crookston returns to Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) action on Saturday, December 10 when they travel to Minnesota State University Moorhead (MSUM) for a 6 p.m. start.
The Golden Eagles hold an overall record of 3-2 and NSIC record of 0-2 after dropping games to the University of Minnesota Duluth (101-68) and Bemidji State University (69-44) this past weekend. U of M, Crookston is led by
Jacolby Anderson (6-2, Sr, G, Lancaster, Tex.) who is averaging 15.8 points per game.
Akeem Cubie (6-6, Sr, G/F, Minneapolis, Minn.) is averaging 15.2 points and 3.4 rebounds per game.
Golden Eagles vs. Mayville State University Tuesday, December 6 7 p.m.
The Comets have an overall record of 7-5 after defeating Martin Luther College 63-59 on Friday and dropping a 68-57 decision to Dakota State University on Saturday. Going into Saturday's game, Mayville State University was led by Gus Kuber who is averaging 18 points and 7.5 rebounds per game. Eric Shulstad is averaging 14.1 points and 6.8 rebounds per game.
Golden Eagles @ MSU Moorhead Saturday, December 10 6 p.m.
The Dragons have an overall record of 5-0 and NSIC record of 2-0 after defeating Bemidji State University (77-57) and the University of Minnesota Duluth (85-67) this past weekend. MSUM is led by D.J. Hamilton who is averaging 19.4 points per game. Jake Lindfors is averaging 17 points and 7.6 rebounds per game. Alex Novak is averaging 11.2 points and 7.6 rebounds per game. Charlie Chapman is averaging 10.8 points per game.
