(Crookston, Minn.)- The University of Minnesota, Crookston Men's Basketball team closes out the 2011 portion of their season with a pair of Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) road contests this weekend. The Golden Eagles face Augustana College on Saturday, December 17 at 6 p.m. and Wayne State College on Sunday, December 18 at 4 p.m.
U of M, Crookston holds an overall record of 4-3 and NSIC record of 0-3. The Golden Eagles defeated Mayville State University 73-60 on Tuesday in non-conference action and dropped a tight 64-61 NSIC contest at Minnesota State University Moorhead on Saturday. U of M, Crookston is led by
Akeem Cubie (6-6, Sr, G/F, Minneapolis, Minn.) who is averaging 17.4 points and four rebounds per game.
Jacolby Anderson (6-2, Sr, G, Lancaster, Tex.) is averaging 16 points per game.
Golden Eagles @ Augustana College Saturday, December 17 6 p.m.
The Vikings have an overall record of 7-1 and NSIC record of 4-0 after defeating the University of Mary (58-45) and Northern State University (76-68) on the road this past weekend. They were ranked 16th in last week's National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) poll. Augustana College is led by Cody Schilling who is averaging 16 points and 4.8 rebounds per game. Cameron McCaffrey is averaging 15.1 points per game while Drae Murray is averaging 13.5 points and 4.8 rebounds per game.
Golden Eagles @ Wayne State College Sunday, December 18 4 p.m.
The Wildcats have an overall record of 2-6 and NSIC record of 1-3 after losing 57-41 at Northern State University on Friday and winning 58-55 at the University of Mary on Saturday. Wayne State College is led by Amry Shelby who is averaging 15.3 points and four rebounds per game. Vontrell Seroyer is averaging 12 points per game while Derrell Williams is averaging 11.3 points and six rebounds per game.
