Box Score (Crookston, Minn.)- The University of Minnesota, Crookston Men's Basketball team opened the game with an 11-0 run and went on to defeat Crown College by a score of 82-47 tonight in non-conference men's basketball action at Lysaker Gymnasium in Crookston, Minn. U of M, Crookston is now 3-0 on the season.
The Golden Eagles shot 59.4% (19-32) in the first half to take a 46-29 lead into the locker room. U of M, Crookston outscored the Storm 36-18 in the second half.
The Golden Eagles held a 39-26 advantage in rebounds. They also outscored Crown 36-14 in the paint.
U of M, Crookston had four players reach double figures and was led by
Jacolby Anderson (6-2, Sr, G, Lancaster, Tex.) who scored 17 points (8-10) with two steals.
Trent Graves (6-8, Sr, F, Hartford, S.D.) scored 14 points (4-4) including going 6-7 at the free throw line. He also pulled down eight rebounds.
Abdou Niang (6-9, Jr, F, Dakar, Dakar, Senegal) added 12 points (5-8) with seven rebounds while
Akeem Cubie (6-6, Jr, G/F, Minneapolis, Minn.) scored 11 points (4-11) with four rebounds.
David Glover scored 12 points (5-11) for the Storm. Truman Shetler added ten points (4-9) for Crown College who is now 1-3 on the season.
The Golden Eagles open Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) action on Friday, December 2 and Saturday, December 3 hosting the University of Minnesota Duluth and Bemidji State University respectively. Friday's game will tip-off at 8 p.m. while Saturday's game begins at 6 p.m.
