(Crookston, Minn.)- The University of Minnesota, Crookston Men's Basketball team opens the 2011-2012 regular season with a pair of non-conference road contests. The Golden Eagles travel to Dunbar, Wis. to face Northland International University (NIU) on Monday, November 21 and to Duluth, Minn. to face the College of St. Scholastica (CSS) on Tuesday, November 22. The games start at 7 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. respectively.
The Golden Eagles opened the season with a pair of exhibition games defeating Jamestown College at home (70-68) on November 8 and dropping a game at Hamline University (78-63) on November 10.
U of M, Crookston was led by
Akeem Cubie (6-6, Sr, G, Minneapolis, Minn.) who scored 28 points and pulled down 12 rebounds over the two games.
Jacolby Anderson (6-2, Sr, G, Lancaster, Tex.) scored 26 points with eight rebounds.
Trent Graves (6-8, Sr, F, Hartford, S.D.) scored 23 points with four rebounds.
Almir Krdzalic (5-11, Jr, G, Sioux Falls, S.D.) added 20 points and seven assists.

NIU has a record of 1-3 going into their November 18 game against Silver Lake College. No other information was available.
Golden Eagles @ College of St. Scholastica Tuesday, November 22 7:30 p.m.
The Saints have an overall record of 0-1after dropping their season opener against the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire by a 63-41 score on Tuesday. Brett Tester led CSS with 19 points (7-11) and eight rebounds. The Saints will travel to St. Cloud, Minn. this weekend to face Jamestown College and St. John's University at the St. Cloud State University Tournament.
