(Crookston, Minn.)- The University of Minnesota, Crookston Women's Soccer team closes out the 2011 season on the road with a pair of Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) games. The Golden Eagles travel to Winona State University (WSU) on Saturday, October 29 at 12 p.m. and Upper Iowa University (UIU) on Sunday, October 30 at 1 p.m.
The Golden Eagles have an overall record of 3-12-1 and NSIC record of 2-8-1 after dropping 1-0 decision at Wayne State College and a 5-0 decision at Augustana College this past weekend. U of M, Crookston is led by
Nikki Hammond (So, F, Nelson, Minn.) who has scored four goals for eight points.
Jessica Ramirez (Fr, F, Millbrae, Cal.) has scored one goal and added two assists for four points.
Amanda Stapleton (Jr, G, Jonesboro, Ark.) has a 1.66 goals against average and a .809 saves percentage.
Golden Eagles @ Winona State University Saturday, October 29 12 p.m.
The Warriors have an overall record of 12-3-1 and NSIC record of 10-1-0 after a 1-0 loss to Minnesota State University on Saturday and a 2-1 overtime victory over Southwest Minnesota State University on Sunday. They are led by Melissa Sellier who has scored nine goals and added eight assists for 26 points. Anna Belpedio has a 0.61 goals against average and a .901 saves percentage.
Golden Eagles @ Upper Iowa University Sunday, October 30 1 p.m.
The Peacocks have an overall record of 6-7-3 and NSIC record of 4-4-3 after a win and a tie this past weekend. Upper Iowa University defeated Southwest Minnesota State University 3-1 on Saturday before settling for a 0-0 tie with Minnesota State University on Sunday. The Peacocks are led by Liz Kaluzinski who has scored seven goals and added three assists for 17 points. Amanda Smith has a 1.30 goals against average and a .826 saves percentage.
