2019 (Junior): Shelton was second on the team in shot attempts this year with 14, five of which were on goal... Scored one goal on the season against Minot State in 80 minutes of action. Started all 16 games and played a total of 1245 minutes. 

2018 (Sophomore): Appeared in 16 games and started 12 for the Golden Eagles this season... Shelton attempted nine shots on the season and five of those were on goal... Scored one goal on the season, that goal came against Southwest Minnesota... Shelton finished the season with two total points and tallied 960 minutes on the year.

2017 (Freshman): Along with fellow forward Maggie Peterson, Shelton was one of two freshman to appear in all 17 games for the Golden Eagles, 16 of which she started. Vanessa recorded 1273 minutes with 5 shots on the season.

High School: Shelton was named First Team All-Puget Sound League as a sophomore, junior and senior...She earned all-conference honorable mention as a freshman...As a junior, Shelton made her Puget Sound Premier League Academy U98 soccer team...She also ran track for Franklin Pierce H.S., where she made it to state as a sophomore in the 800 meters and the 4x400 relay.

Personal: She is the daughter of Douglas and Jackie Shelton...Shelton was born Aug. 31, 1998...She plans to major in biology and health sciences.
