Biography

2024 (Freshman): Chernecki started in 8 of the 9 games that she played, and put up a team high of 11 shots on goal out of her total of 15 shots. 

Prior to UMN Crookston: Chernecki helped West Kildonan Collegiate to the KPAC Championship. She was her 2023 and 2024 Team MVP, and served as team captain. Chernecki played for the Whitecaps REX Manitoba club team. She helped her team to the 2023 U17 Provincial Championship. Chernecki played for A.K. Soccer Academy, where they competed in U17 for the Canadian National Soccer Championships. She received a National Development Centre - Vancouver Whitecaps invite.  Chernecki was the 2022 Junior Varsity Female Athlete of the Year for her school. She helped her team to the WYSA Premier 1 Soccer Championship from 2019-21. 

Personal: She is the daughter of Kerrie Chernecki. Her grandfather Wayne Chernecki was a professional ice hockey player. He was defeated in the fourth round, 45th overall, by the Detroit Red Wings in the 1969 NHL Draft. Her father Dorian Anneck was a professional ice hockey player. He was defeated in the third round, 56th overall, by the Winnipeg Jets in the 1994 NHL Draft. Chernecki plans to major in exercise science and wellness at Minnesota Crookston.
