University of Minnesota Crookston Athletics

Prior to UMC: Gibbons rejoins the University of Minnesota Crookston soccer team after a two-year hiatus...She will be a senior for the Golden Eagles in 2017...Gibbons played for the Golden Eagles as a freshman before taking the last two years away from soccer to focus on her studies...Gibbons started 11 games as a freshman, playing in the back four for the Golden Eagles...Had one assist on the season...She also helped the defense limit opponents to just 18 goals on the 2014 season...She was a four-year letter winner at Grand Rapids High School. Gibbons was a 2013 and 2014 All-Area Team pick. She was a 2014 All-Star Team member. Gibbons helped club team earn Region Championship and get a berth in state tournament. She served as team captain as a senior at Grand Rapids High School. She also played basketball. Gibbons was an MYSA Participant in 2013.

Personal: She is the daughter of Marie and Denny Gibbons. Gibbons was born June 20, 1996...She is a wildlife management and biology major...She earned the 2013 Award of Excellence for academics...Her father Denny Gibbons played hockey at Bemidji State...Gibbons is part of the Study Abroad Club at Minnesota Crookston, along with the Hospitality Association...She has interned at the Minnesota Zoo in Apple Valley, Minn.
