2023-24 (Redshirt Junior): Mitchel started 19 of his 27 games played...Had 140 points shooting 48.8% from the field...Scored double digit points in three games...Was second on the Golden Eagles in rebounds with 163 for an average of six per game...He had two double digit rebound games...Also having 44 assists, 22 steals and 28 blocks.

2022-23 (Junior): Started three games and played in 18 games, averaging 15.6 minutes per game...Averaged 2.6 points and 3.2 rebounds per game...Career-high eight points in a win against Presentation and a career-high nine rebounds on the road at Wayne State College.

Prior to UMN Crookston: Mitchell was ranked the top recruit in Ohio by 270 Hoops coming out of high school. He was the 10^th-best recruit in Ohio according to 247 Sports. Mitchell played the 2021-22 season with Dodge City C.C. after coming back from injury. Dodge City C.C. went 30-5 last season, competing in the NJCAA DI National Championship Tournament. He played in 13 games as a redshirt freshman. Mitchell had four points and six rebounds against Northwest Kansas Tech. He spent the 2020-21 season with Hutchinson C.C., where he redshirted. Mitchell attended Montverde Academy in Florida, a program that has produced top talent, including 12 current NBA players. Mitchell was a teammate at Montverde Academy with current NBA players Moses Moody (Golden State Warriors), Cade Cunningham (Detroit Pistons), and Precious Achiuwa (Toronto Raptors). Mitchell had offers out of high school from the University of Florida, University of Iowa, Ohio State University, and Xavier University. Mitchell played at Gahanna Lincoln H.S., prior to transferring to Montverde Academy. He averaged 11.7 points per game in his final season with Gahanna Lincoln H.S.

Personal: He is the son of Robert and Trinelle Mitchell of Clermont, Fla. He plans to major in business at UMN Crookston.
