Biography

2014-15: Junior season...Named All-NSIC First Team...Led the Golden Eagles in scoring with 432 points and an average of 15.4 points per game...Also averaged 4.2 rebounds per game...Shot 33.3 percent from beyond the arc and 87.5 percent from the charity stripe...Scored her 1,000th point of her career in UMC's home playoff game against Concordia-St. Paul, which would prove to be the game-tying point as UMC would advance to the Sioux Falls in the NSIC/Sanford Health Tournament...Tallied 32 points in overtime win over Minnesota State Jan. 17...Had 21 points against Northern Michigan...Notched 24 points versus Hawaii Pacific...Had 26 points against U-Mary...Head 21 points against Minot State, 22 against St. Cloud State and 20 against Minnesota Duluth...Notched 22 points on the road at Winona State.

2013-14: Sophomore season... Second on the team in scoring averaging 15.2 points per game... Was second in the NSIC with a three-point percentage of 46.0 and sixth with a free throw percentage of 87.7... Led the team with 60 assists and was second on the team in rebounding and steals... Scored a career-high 30 and grabbed 9 rebounds on Nov. 30 against Bemidji State... Scored 20 or more points eight times... Recorded a steal in 20 games.

2012-13: Freshman season... Averaged 6.2 points and 2.6 boards as a freshman while earning 17 starts on the year and appearing in 27 games... Had a season-high 13 points against Western New Mexico Nov. 24 and versus Minnesota Duluth Feb. 23... Connected on three treys against Western New Mexico... Tallied 12 points versus St. Cloud State Dec. 8... Had 11 versus U-Mary and Wayne State... Shot 31.3 percent from three on the season and 71.1 percent from the charity stripe... Dished out four assists against Fort Lewis and Minot State... Grabbed season-high seven boards against Northern State... Was unblemished 6-of-6 from the charity stripe against Minnesota State Feb. 9.

High School: Averaged 14.7 points and 3.2 rebounds as a  senior at Buffalo H.S... Led team to 22-4 mark and a Mississippi 8 Conference title... She was named the 2012 conference MVP and was an all-state second team member... Thielman has also been named all-conference honorable mention and is an all-conference academic team member.
 
Personal: Thielman is a health science major at the University of Minnesota Crookston... She is the daughter of Deb and Gary Thielman.

“Alexa truly has the complete package as she has the ability to play any of the guard positions,” said Mike Roysland. “Her ability to get in the middle of the paint as well as shoot the three will really fit into our style of play. She has the ability to take over a game with her competitive style of play,”
